Dark Night of the Soul

Have you been through a dark night of the soul?

2020 has delivered us into the realm of the goddess; as major transitioning is taking place in need of nurturing to full growth.
Commiting to this energy means to take on multiple attributes which takes a great deal of courage and wisdom. Goddess work is a shadow working spiritual path; requiring a knowledge of both Light and Dark energies.
(Please scroll back to my previous post - Are you a shadow worker ? - link in comments below.
You may resonate with the idea that you have been through such an initiation in the lead up to this energy (most prevelant from 2016 - 2020)
The priestess was ordained only after facing an extremely fearful and potentially life threatening ordeal in which it was believed she would face and conquer her demons, should she survive. She would choose to put herself into horrific circumstances believing it to be for her greater good and spiritual transformation.
In the modern world such an experience might be felt as one or a combination of the following
A sudden or extreme change to normality
Illness or an accident
A forced career change
The passing of a loved one
Mental health complications
Financial loss / Destitution
A forced change of location
Extreme worries for loved ones
Becoming homeless
Shocking news
Extreme disappointment/ disillusionment
Chronic pain / illness
Bullying
An attack
Domestic violence
Abuse
Struggles with addiction
Near death experience
Abandonment
Miscarriage
If you can relate to the idea that you have been through a dark night of the soul spiritual transformation then realise firstly that you are not alone and secondly that this is always a part of normal life experience and is the way we grow.
It sounds crazy that any of us would put ourselves forward for such trauma and suffering, when we know that we would all choose to avoid it at all costs.
Suffering reminds us of our vulnerability.
Vulnerability is a great teacher of Empathy and compassion. When we have experience we are better able to relate to and help others.
Ex- addicts train to be support workers.
The abused find a way to become the support
The lost learn to teach the wisdom
Those who have overcome mental health listen to those with struggles
The goddess has two sides Light and Dark
Love and War Creation and Destruction
It is only through using the attributes of both energies that she becomes whole.
